A persons prayers are not answered until they place their soul in the palm of their hand. Not emotional arousal but self sacrifice.

The concept of כפים - the palms can also be read, two letters ׳כ׳ , corresponding to the two levels in כתר. You're prayers reach up to the supernal crown.

We lift up towards heaven in prayer by being careful about what is in our כפים, that our hands should be free from mistreatment of others and theft.

The "hands" we lift in prayer are the two levels of divine unity, שמע and ברוך שם. Also, since a hand can lift you up when you've fallen as well as be placed on your head to give blessing.

There both is and isn't a mazel for Israel and how the name Moshe is not reflexive. The two opinions in Gemara about whether or not -יש מזל לישראל Israel is under the influence of "mazal" are actually both in agreement with each other מר אמר חדא ומר אמר חדא ולא פליגי.
