The mustard seed and loves the universe.

This that the heavens are a mustard seed in comparison to the heavens can be likened to our efforts in comparison to what they evoke on high, in that which the divine reflects our efforts back towards us. It is important to remember the impact of our act in comparison to the vastness of the infinite and how divine mercy is so vastly disproportionate to what we deserve.

Even so, in the times of Moshiach we are promised a "new heavens and a new earth" that this reciprocal relationship will be elevated to a level even beyond the current one between man and the infinite.

This is also hinted in the verse, מ׳י׳ י׳עלה׳ ל׳נו׳ ה׳שמימיה׳ - ר״ת מילה וס״ת הוי׳. [The fact that milah comes before Hashem's name hints to how the mitzvah of milah represents a revelation from beyond what efforts can evoke. In this way, milah is similar to a negative command, where the light comes down by Not doing something. With the milah as well, we simply remove the barriers and receive that which is completely beyond, more than a mustard seed who receives the vastness of the universe.]
