In Zohar it states that before Yisro was the father-in-law of Moshe he was the father in law of Yosef. Both Yosef and Moshe corresponding with vov's (yesod)

In Ohr Hatorah, first Vayishma Yisro, the Tzemach Tzedek explains that Cohen Ohn refers to Hashpa without oneg and simcha, like a eunuch (which fits nicely with the agada that Potefera was castrated).

Yosef, yesod z"a, gave physical sustenance, "hu hamasbir," while Moshe, yesod aba, gave spiritual sustenance "lechem min hashamayim."

Of the three yo'atzei paroh bilam is das of klipa while yisro is chochma of klipa, corresponding with Moshe (and Iyov is mistama yesod, corresponding with Yosef. Makes sense also that Moshe married Yisro's daughter, Yosef Potifera's. Maybe the daughter being the mekabel and Moshe and Yosef giving the missing hashpa.)

Cohen midyan is also from the language of dinin, as he sourced the parsha of the dayanim, an elevation of chochma of Moshe and this is also his "yiser parsha achas be'Torah," which is the aforementioned "yisron hachochma min ha'sichlus."
