Some Purim customs according to siddur Arizal.

The Megila should be rolled on one pole, not two, to show that the left side of strictness has become united with the right side of kindness. However, since its called an "igeres," a letter, it should be spread out flat when read.

You give tzedaka to anyone who stretches out their hands, even aku"m.

You should fulfill "mishloach manos" and "matanos le'evyonim" before you read the Megila on Purim day.

You should have kava for all the names of Hashem in the Megila that come out of the "rashei tevos" and "sofei tevos."

You should drink more wine at the meal than the amount of food you eat. (Since wine corresponds with Esther, bina while the food is Aba.)

You're supposed not to know the difference between blessed is Mordochai and cursed is Haman, since in all evil there is a spark of holiness that will never be nullified. There is a concern that you might be tempted to "bless" that spark within the evil, to enliven it. We therefore get drunk so that any blessing we give to it will not have proper kavana.
