The Alef corresponds with "prat uklal uprat" the particular, the general and the particular again, one of the thirteen ways we are doresh the Torah.

The Alef is composed of a yud, a point - the particular, a vov, a line from end to end ( the entirety of it,) meaning the general, and then again, a another yud, the final particular point.

The letter vov, as spelled out, corresponds with the opposite concept, "klal uprat uklal," the general, particular and the general again. The vov is the general as well in that it's composed of six, the midos together, then in the middle is the particular, (a single alef, gematria echad) the six as as it divides into the right and left. Finally, a vov at the end, back to the general.
