A candle for a cow.
It's a given that:
"The candle of Hashem is the soul of man (adam)" and Aharon hakohen elevates that candle, elevates the souls of Israel.
However, the verse states, "I will sow the house of Israel with the seed of man and the seed of animal." That some souls are compared to "man" (adam) while some are more a concept of "animal." Meaning, they are still within their struggle to elevate their animalistic urges. The pasuk also says that the "spirit of man (adam) goes upwards while the spirit of the animal goes down towards the earth." If so, if the candle of Hashem is the soul of Adam, what happens to those souls that are on the level of "animal?"
The idea is, however, that Ahron is one of the "seven shepherds" whose job is to sustain the souls that are like animals, the divine livestock. The animalistic soul is derived spiritually from the "face of the ox" of the supernal chariot. About each of the four faces of the malachim it states, "each of the four has a face of man (adam)." Within the "animal" is also the concept of man, the potential within the animal to be elevated to the level of man.
This then is what Aharon accomplishes, to elevate the the animalistic souls up to the level of "man" to be a candle for Hashem.
