"He spreads charity to the poor..."
The effect of the tzadik on his students is compared to giving charity to the poor. "Evyon" is from the language of to desire, as a student desires to learn from his Rebbi.
"...His righteousness stands forever" and affects you after their passing even more than in their life time.
"...Their glory will lift up in honor." Studying their Torah will lift you up and elevate you. Their is no honor - "kavod" other than Torah.
The soul is compared to the wick that they light, their good deeds are the oil makes your soul shine brightly and your "set" times for Torah study are the vessel for the oil and the wick that gives a "set" permanence to the light.
From the mamer Pizar nason la'evyonim printed in older versions of the Maneh Lashon from the previous Rebbe in תרצ״ב also in Kuntresim Alef
